Willem van der Vlies

Born and raised as the son of a Captain, Willem grew up in the German Luftwaffe bombed the flat center of Rotterdam (the Netherlands).

After high school, he joined the military service, serving in special units in two armies in several countries.

Back in the Netherlands, he started a career in glass and construction.

In addition to his work, he obtained his PD and engineering degrees. He had various management board positions at large construction companies before he became an entrepreneur, setting up his own companies, which he still managed and owned for 20 years. In addition to his business, he organizes and sponsors several military memorial events in the Ardennes (Battle of the Bulge) and the Netherlands and supports war veterans in general.
